THE CAMPAIGN FOR PLANETROCK.  AND U.S.


Most fundraisers are the same.  You gather a bunch of people together and say,  “Hey, look at us.  We’re awesome.  Give us some money.”  At PlanetRock, we want to do things better.  We understand, whether its broadly acknowledged or not, that the nonprofit/social enterprise community is irrevocably and inextricably linked.  As such, we fully comprehend that it’s ultimately impractical to do anything – programming, marketing, and even fundraising – in a vacuum.  If we did, we would join the thousands of organizations that deliberately think alone, act alone, and labor alone.  It’s ridiculous when you think about it, and quite a tragedy when you consider that with all the good and great work being done in this country, there’s still so much left to do.

 



SEE THE CHANGE WE WANT TO BE IN THE WORLD

Our pledge, though DO THINGS BETTER, is to use our upcoming campaign (our first) and every subsequent effort to benefit the entire nonprofit community.  Really?  Really.  By doing so, we’ll likely raise less money, but hopefully solve more problems by inspiring more collaboration.  Because that’s what it’s about, right?

IMPACT FUNDRAISING.


It seems impossible, but over the course of 2016,
we want to raise something north of $1 million.
For ALL of U.S.

By doing so, we will strengthen our very best nonprofits and encourage their partnership in bringing our Artisan Strong, Lyons Club, Faire/Share, PlanetPark, Cafe Prep, and Alumni Strong signature programs to the cities of New Orleans, Ferguson, Chicago, and Baltimore.  Needless to say, our projects alone won’t solve everything (not even close), but it’s a start.  Your support will plant a solution seed, get the ball rolling, and send a loving, receptive message to the entire nonprofit community that it’s time to do things better.  Together.
